SAL40101D -- CCSDS compatible Turbo decoder

The SAL40101D product is a decoder of the turbo code specified in the CCSDS recommendation for space data standards 131.0-B-1.

The basic code is a 16-state (constraint length 5) Recursive Systematic Convolutional code which is well suited to channels with predominantly Gaussian noise. In addition to the nominal rate 1/3 code, the device supports rates 1/2, 1/4, and 1/6. The convolutional code uses different connection polynomials depending on the code rate. The backward connection polynomial is G0 = 10011 for all rates.

The device uses 6-bit inputs and a full log-MAP SISO decoder module to ensure superior error correction performance.
