SAL10300d Viterbi decoder

The SAL10300D product is a flexible Viterbi decoder, well suited to a wide range of telecommunications applications requiring low power and moderate throughput.

The basic code is a variable constraint length, variable mother rate transparent code which is well suited to channels with predominantly Gaussian noise. In addition to the nominal rate codes, the device supports punctured rates 2/3, 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8. The encoder is of the non-systematic, non-recursive type, with programmable polynomials.
