Our design philosophy might best be stated as "analyze, design, verify,
and validate."
Analyze:
All our error correction modules are painstakingly researched before the
actual module design takes place, to ensure that our customers are receiving
a state-of-the-art error correction solution, one that satisfies the very
highest standard of quality available today.
Design:
Our design team brings many years of ASIC industry design experience to
the design of each error correction module, using only industry best
practices in logic design, such as single clock, fully synchronous design,
separation of memory and logic, and fully specified flow control for all
external interfaces for hassle-free integration into a customer system.
Verify:
To ensure correct operation of a digital design, it is not enough simply
to design the circuit. All our products are subjected to rigorous
verification using a verilog testbench following a very comprehensive test
plan. Each test plan includes a specific test for each user-accessible
register in the design, in addition to comprehensive interface flow control
testcases.
Validate:
The completed device is validated through use in customer systems and
hardware implementations in house. Careful records are kept of each device
to ensure consistent quality in every Salamander product.
